While there are better products in terms of connectivity and cabling options, the Feelworld 7 Inch display really hits the sweet spot in terms of price/performance. I can recommend enough to those who are looking for a very good quality, sharp responsive display at a fraction of the price some of the other “pro” screens offer.Needs some improvements, but hopefully with out adding too much cost. Otherwise, the features and performance of this screen knocks it out of the park, albeit just in front of the foul line but a home run anyways.

I really love this product, almost perfect except for having to purchase a separate battery if you dont have a compatible Canon LP-E6 battery from your 5d mark versions and another sony battery just please read the description. Other than that it is great. You can access the menu button on the side of the monitor to check you histogram, volume, false colors, brightness and others. Also customer support from camo tech store are very fast in answering your questions, polite and helpful. Thank you feel world and camo techThanks,Joanne

You should note that this is not a 4k display; it has 4k feed-through capability…I got this to allow me to be able to better review video and pictures as I shoot them. It sets up very quick, and it doesn’t take long to get good at moving through its menus and settings. This monitor has a histogram and the ability to zoom in to check fine focus. Though all my cameras have the same features, the size of this monitor makes it easier for me. The monitor also gives a better indication of the quality of the image by rendering true colors and being a little larger in size. I now use this monitors advanced features such as zebra pattern and peaking to allow me to get better images. The cameras I use this monitor with do not support live feed through their HDMI output, but I still find great value in using this monitor. The only caveat is that it doesn’t come with either a battery nor a power supply. I bought a set of two F950 batteries and a dual charger to use and I get over an hour of continuous use with each battery. I also acquired a 12v power supply. You will need to have one or the other when you order this item. This monitor has many options which I find useful with my photography. I am very happy with this purchase.I would recommend this to others…

I really want to 5 star this one; it has excellent image quality for the price, you get THREE function buttons, and it’s a good size for setups where 7″ is too much. **EDIT** Man, Feelworld’s customer service is RESPONSIVE; this should really give you confidence, they’ve really jumped into trying to learn what issues I’ve had. **I wanted a 5 or 5.5″ with the dual Sony/Canon plate – I have about 6 aftermarket Canon batteries and all sorts of sizes of Sony; the Sony pop right in, but not the Canon. It takes a lot of force to get them to pop into place, and an utterly ridiculous amount to remove them – like “I’m gonna break this thing” scary. Maybe there’s a difference in actual Canon LP-E6 batteries – I don’t shoot Canon but the LPs are so ubiquitous that I have a bunch. I did email Feelworld and they replied right away, asked for a link to purchase similar batteries and test them, so – good fast reply at least, but doesn’t solve my issue. **EDIT** Feelworld continues to be in touch with me, they actually purchased the non-Canon batteries from Amazon and confirmed they have an issue. I have to assume most people buy a camera that comes with one battery and then instantly buy a handful of cheap aftermarkets, so this may be an ongoing issue with buyers of this camera.**But, of great importance – color was perfect right out of the box; I didn’t need to use bars and adjust (it does have blue-only though). They’ve really sourced an excellent panel for this one. You can adjust sharpness as well. It’s nice & snappy. The other 2 dings are minor – the side-mount with a bracket is kinda cool, but most of us are used to mounting these from the bottom. To bottom mount the monitor, you have to remove a small part and move it from the side to the bottom (tiny screws, not gonna be your favorite thing to do on-set). Feelworld sells the part for about ten bucks, just ordered one, but it seems like the monitor should show up with at least 2 mounting points. Also, the supplied bracket lets you tilt the monitor but not rotate it (I’ve found when I’m running camera with an interviewer, the subject will keep glancing at me/the camera; if I rotate my monitor so I’m not facing the subject at all, that behavior stops – it works like a charm, try it sometime). These little screens are great for odd rigs, crazy angles, cranes, shooting very low or high, and the old-school ball and socket mount lets you get the monitor aimed where you need it pretty quickly. YMMV of course, but more mounting points would be welcome; ten more bucks and you’re good though. And one more minor quibble – multiple zoom levels, but not a true 1:1 level, as far as I can tell. On the plus side, assign an Fkey to Zoom, and each press cycles through the zoom range – in my experience most small monitors are 1:1 or no-zoom until you get up there in price, so the extra levels could be handy. Peaking is fine, and I use the third f button for check-fields; I often frame with the camera’s monitor and ride focus with the external zoomed in 1:1 with peaking and monochrome (I find peaking is much clearer with mono vs. color). I shoot almost all 4K for a 1080 timeline, and the screen looks just fine regardless of footage resolution. HDMI out is nice, no splitter needed for multiple monitor gigs. So, ten bucks solves the mounting issue, but the battery plate’s a disappointment; ordered some more Sony and I suppose I’ll shelve the Canon batteries for now. Service is responsive (they sent me the link to the mounting part right away). Wondering if anyone else has battery plate issues, I’ve tried other screens with dual plates and had zero issues.

It simply works and does the things that I need it to. It is extremely helpful for framing shots and for making sure I get everything in focus in a controlled environment. Not suitable for run and gun style shooting. Great for commercials, music videos, and documentary work on a budget.

Man, I got this little monitor and set it up in my studio next to a SmallHD monitor and was blown away with the image. The housing was a bit cheap but it was light and looked great. BUT then I went outside in the sun… and it over heats… I mean it over heats in 85 degree weather… fast. Within 4 mins it shut off, take it back inside to cool off and it fires back up. I live on the Florida, Alabama line and it is up to 100 during the summer so this thing is a no go. I whip would have taken it outside sooner so I could have returned it. Long story short, if you only want to use it inside, its great… if you ever go outside for more than 4mins then you are screwed!

Overall this monitor ROCKS.The “False Color” feature alone is worth the entire price of the monitor. The False Color features helps to get your lighting exposure perfect every time. It’s super easy, and takes only a few minutes. (check YouTube for vids on how to use False Color)PROs:(1) Great price/value.(2) Filming is much easier and more reliable with a field monitor verses camera’s small screen.(3) Sufficient input and outputs for hdmi, power, audio.(4) Good quality picture indoors.(5) Good quality picture outdoors with sunshade.(6) Swivel allows manual rotation of monitor, necessary as sun moves, to prevent glare.(7) Sunshade folds flat, and together with monitor it stores in flat section of my Lowpro camera bag.CONs:(1) Monitor is not 4k. The “4K” in item title is misleading and refers to the 4k pass-thru using the HDMI input and output jacks. However the resolution is more than sufficient for our non-4k shooting.(2) Power adaptor is not included.(3) Battery life is “just okay”.(4) Battery plate not available for “Film Industry Standard” batteries including V-Mount and others. And here’s one compelling reason to have V-Mount: Changing battery or powering down monitor stops our Canon M50 DSLR from recording. (recording stops when camera’s video out switches from external monitor to internal flip screen LCD monitor, or visa-versa) (issue is with the camera, not the monitor, and other cameras do this too) Therefore it makes sense for this camera to handle industrial sized “V-Mount” batteries. Especially since majority of amateur, semi-professional, and professional shooting takes place outdoors and requires batteries rather than directly plug-in power.

I think they gave out a lot of samples and affiliate offers to Youtubers because this is very often recommended on Youtube. I don’t think those reviews are completely honest or accurate. This does work and the price is right, but it’s well put together. The shade piece attaches by velcro. It’s flimsy and lets light through where it connects. It also is hard to fit perfectly. But that’s a moot point because the glued on velcro strip on the monitor itself peeled off the first time I ever used it.Also, it has a mini-usb port for firmware upgrades! Haven’t seen that in like 10 years, lol. I had to really dig to find one. Also a moot point, though, because there are no firmware updates. The focus peaking is also silly. Your camera probably has built-in focus peaking anyway. However, it is nice that there is a shortcut button on top of the monitor to turn it on and off. HOWEVER, another moot point, because the focus peaking will be much much worse than what’s probably built into your camera. It will outline all of the info on your camera screen (e.g., shutter speed, aperture, any other text on your display) making it distracting and hard to read. The zebra strips for overexposed areas are nice, though. My camera does not have that feature.Despite all these criticisms, the image quality is good, it’s cheaper than most other options, and it basically does the job. I just felt a need to offset some of the clearly biased Youtube hype which led me (and probably you) to this product.

I personally love the FEELWORLD line of products, this is my second monitor from them (I also have various attachments). This monitor was purchased so I could try and mirror my phone screen when using a drone. As you can see from the photos, it works great! Just be aware that the battery pictured IS NOT INCLUDED with the screen, nor is any wall power supply (which I also but, and was really cheap). I will also end up using this on top of my DSLRs for film classes I teach.

If you’re looking for something that you can see pretty much in sunlight, look no further. This little 7″ monitor comes from a company I’ve used for a while. I have their non-bright version, which still holds up quite well.PROS:- It’s really bright! When you’re filming in a studio setting, be aware that this may be quite bright. Always use your camera monitor and histograms to compare.- HDMI Passthrough. On this model, having this is very very good as you can chain a client monitor, so that another party (client, focus puller) can view it as well- Battery meter. Important if you’re filming a long sequence, interview, conference etc. You should always know if your MONITOR battery is running out of juice or not- Price. For what you get, this is quite good valueMEHS:- Would be nice to have a few more options in the menus- More custom Function buttons would be nice- Could be aluminium, however, that would add weightCONS:- The design is a bit dated, but who’s looking at your monitor anyway- In my mind, the buttons should be on the front. Having them on the side is quite awkward to operate. To summarize, if you film outdoors, short of getting a more expensive ($1000 – 3000) camera monitor, this is an excellent option at a good price point.

If you are reading this you know what a good field monitor means to your work. I have tried the ridiculous over priced field monitors and yes they are very good at what they do but for a fraction of the price this will almost do the same. Sure I like bells and whistles just like the next guy but do you really use them. I will be honest and tell you that I don`t. This little jewel almost does it all and you will not regret buying it. The build quality is pretty good but don`t bang it around and you should be OK. The picture quality is outstanding indoors and outdoors……. I will stop typing now and tell you just buy it, it`s awesome !

I needed this for framing up shots and checking focus for a handheld shoot. It does great for both of those purposes as its very bright and clear. The 7inch size makes this so much easier to do. Focus peaking works well and has many other features that are helpful. I wouldn’t rely on it solely to check exposure/colours but it was better than I expected. It is extremely bright. Too bright at 80% to look at indoors in the evening. Which makes it amazing for daylight conditions. I used it at 15% brightness indoors and the picture quality was still decent with reasonable contrast. The build quality is decent as well. The hard plastics seem durable enough and the screw hole is mounted well. Not pro gear quality obviously but good enough for most sets. Just need to take care of it a little more. Over all I am impressed with the monitor for the price. The size, features, build quality and brightness made this the best deal for me.

This is the first monitor I’ve owned and it works for it’s purpose. I have a few issues with it:The image is not 1:1 with the actual camera screen, so everything is just slightly off when at 100% fit.The velcro for the sunshade came off on the first use – it’s just poorly designed (and you get what you pay for)The battery indicator goes in 20% increments and it kills me. If I could get 5% increments, I’d be able to better time my battery swaps. The screen is not 1080p. No way. it’s 720 at best. Images are fuzzy around the edges which creates problems when pulling focus. All in all, great for a starter, but I find for professional applications, it just isn’t cutting it.

Great screen with bracket but really? No battery? Just charge me the extra 20 because it’s a must. Also most higher level DSLRs or cameras are using Mini HDMI ports not micro HDMI ports.

It’s beyond my expectation. It contains many features that could help you shoot excellent and professional videos. More details are in the video I uploaded.I like the shade it provides, so that you can see the monitor clearly even under the strong sunshine.BTW it does not come with a battery or charger so you need to buy one on your own. However, it do comes with 5V usbc power port and a DC in 12V port.

I will give my honest review of the FEELWORLD F6 Plus 5.5 and also a comparison withLilliput A7S 7″ Full HD Monitor with 4K Support (one of the best selling/review monitor in BH $159)Atomos Ninja V5 (monitor + recorder $650)I paid three monitors myself so here is my honest review.Build quality:So I will start with the cons of the monitor. I would say the build quality of this monitor is not as good as atoms ninja V5 as it is plastic made. But I have to say that, this is a typical plastic device you would expect, it is not bad in any way. Actually, I prefer the plastic since it is much lighter on my camera. You really do not want to put the dumb bell on top of your camera to ruin your hotshoe. So if your use case is mostly on camera, I would say it is a good fit. For the Lillput 7”, I do not think many people will put it on camera tho. But I really like the silicon sleeve so hope the Feelworld can also consider provide this to “enhance” the build quality a little bit.Display and color quality:It is really good! I use the Atomos as a reference and adjust the brightness of them with the same scene, and the Feelworld did not let me down! I would argue that the F6 has the same quality of display if not better than the Atomos. So if the display color is your main concern, you are good to go with the F6. The cons of the F6 display is the max brightness is only 90% (my rough guess) compared to Atomos. I do not need such high output for most of the time, but it is good to have. Luckly, we have the sunshade come with the F6, so the problem is solved. I really really enjoy the color accuracy from F6 and that is the main reason I gave 5 stars on this product. BTW, do not expect any good color from Lilliput, it will washout even at 50% brightness and it can only be used for composition but not for preview of focus pulling.Accessory and features:The Unbox experience is good and full of accessories! Even comes with a tiny FP battery which I wish it is a DC charger tho. It also comes with the high quality arm (I would say it worth at least 30 bucks) and the sun shade. I have no complaint at all for the accessory that it comes with. I did not get a chance to test all the features but I found that the clickable/tuning button is more than sufficient to change the setting on the field. I do not need the touch screen for most of the time. It also features gravity sensing which means it will rotate the image when you try to film yourself and flip the monitor. Love it and find it very useful.Things that FEELWORLD could do better:I guess no one wants a super small FP battery come in the box so please save that money and give us a rubber sleeve or DC charger or small SD card for the LUT.It will be great if FEELWORLD can reduce the reflection of the screen, it is bright and accuracy but a little bit too reflective to me. Will need the shade all the time.My conclusion:If you are looking for a lightweight on camera monitor with excellent color accuracy and all the accessories that you need to start with, FEELWORD F6 is a very competitive choice. I will update my review if I find anything new. 🙂

Just recieved this product and was happy to have open it and set it up. Very happy as this is my first filed monitor for videography. The screen is great, touchscreen quality is great. The only downside is that the sunvisor clip-on to attach the sunscreen did not fit onto the lcd screen. As seen in the photos one side of the sunvisor has a smaller amount of space than the opposite side. I don’t want to return the product but would like it if they can send a replacement piece that fits correctly.

One of the most important parts of shooting professional looking video is getting correct focus and exposure. This is important to capturing pleasing images but it’s not always easy to do with the smaller LCD screens on mirrorless cameras. Having a 5.5 inch screen with features like magnification, focus assist & false color will greatly help with this task. That’s why I purchased FEELWORLD F6 PLUS on camera monitor with touch screen.Included ItemsThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor includes:• 1× F6 Plus 5.5” Monitor• 1× Micro HDMI Cable• 1× Mini HDMI Cable• 1× Sunshade• 1× Tilt Arm• 1× Manual• 1× NP-F550 Battery and ChargerOVERVIEWThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor is well made. This monitor has a really responsive touch screen and simple menu layout. Weighing in at 8oz it’s light enough to be camera mounted or gimbal mounted. The 5.5 inch screen brightness is measured at 500 nits and looks as bright as my GH5 screen. The screen orientation flips automatically. It has a headphone jack with and an audio meter that can be displayed on screen. It’s also capable of receiving firmware updates via an SD card slot. The FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor is a feature packed monitor at a good price.FOCUS ASSIST & MAGNIFICATIONThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor has the ability to quickly magnify its image using its responsive touch screen. This is one of my favorite features on this monitor. I was to be able to magnify my display and check focus while recording. This is great for cameras with less that perfect auto. This is a really useful feature on the FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor.BATTERY LIFEThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor uses generic Sony NP-F or Canon LP-E6 batteries. It includes a NP-F550 battery that lasted about 3 hours in my test. It also has an 8.4V DC output that can power a camera by using a dummy battery.BRIGHTNESSThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor has 5.5 inch screen. Its brightness is rated at 500 nits which about the same brightness as the display on my GH5. The display is reasonably bright and includes a sunshade for outdoor use.COLD SHOE MOUNTED TILT ARMThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor has a cold shoe mounted tilt arm. It’s really sturdy and the monitor can be flipped without the 1/4 inch – 20 screw becoming loose. It also has an additional cold shoe mount for mounting other accessories.IMAGE FLIPThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor has horizontal and vertical image flip. It automatically flips the image horizontally when the monitor is flipped into selfie mode.4K HDMI Input & Loop OutputThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor has an HDMI input and output loop. This is great for when I use my GH5 to send an HDMI signal to my laptop for live event streaming.FIRMWARE UPDATEThe FEELWORLD F6 PLUS monitor is cable of receiving firmware updates by using its SD card slot. The latest firmware included new two false color settings. It’s good that FEELWORLD is releasing firmware updates that continue to upgrade this monitor. In conclusion, the FEELWORLD F6 PLUS is a feature packed touchscreen on camera monitor at a good price.

For the money it really can’t be beat. I actually purchased the F6 and F6 Plus to compare and the extra $40-$50 for the F6 Plus is totally worth it. I like how the monitor flips the image automatically when rotated, has HDMI in and out, waveforms. Most of all the touchscreen is soooo much more intuitive than using buttons, I can change settings so easily. The 2 negatives for me is the mounting bracket it comes with is utter garbage. And second, even though it’s supposed to be brighter than the F6 I found the F6 brighter than the F6 Plus. This may be because of the added digitizer for the touchscreen? For the price it gets the job done 90% of the time. Recommend getting monitor swivel mount from SmallRig to replace the hot shoe mount it comes with. Other than that this thing is pretty sweet!

Purchased this screen for use outdoors at my son’s soccer games. The bright screen and sun shade will help immensely. I use this with a Sony Handycam FDR-ax53. Plug and play zero connectivity issues. Comparing the image to the small On-camera display it appears to match perfectly. The real test will be outdoors in the bright sun filming a 1.5 hour match. I’ll report back if it fails that test in any way…
